If you are looking for perfection, I am going to stop you right here. If you are looking for fun, a bit of adventure, and the capturing of raw moments- no matter how imperfect-you have come to the right place. First and foremost I do photography for the fun of it, I am always learning and of course love to nail the "perfect" shot (who doesn't), but more importantly I do it to capture life, the places I have been, and little moments in between.
I will also be honest with you, as of yet I am not formally trained in photography- everything I have done has been a product of my love of what is essentially one of my many hobbies, and one of my favorites. I have taken the time to learn what I can, and have found a lot of happiness in working with families and couples. Aside from capturing the world around me, I love capturing smiles, giggles, kisses, and human connection. But that is where this gets interesting- because to me those moments are not supposed to be flawless if they are real.
"If you look for perfection, you will never be content" Leo Tolstoy- Anna Karenina
This is one of my favorite quotes, and one I remind myself of constantly- in fact it sits on my desk in my craft room. If you were to ask me why this is my personal mantra, I will tell you it is because in seeking perfection we can lose sight of what made us happy with what we were doing in the first place- and our once loved hobbies and enjoyments become tedious. I never want Photography to become tedious- because as a hobby and a passion I can bring the happiness and enjoyment of it to you as a client. Smiles are infectious, and if I can not be happy when we are together it will show. A stiff and formal photoshoot may be "perfect", but that is not me. And if you lingered here a little longer and kept reading, im betting it's not you either.
